Today the weather was kind of in between (where I live anyway) so it wasn’t cold but not boiling hot - it was pleasantly right. So I wore the scarf to balance it out, not to mention it’s a good accessory and the top is a bit loose and low for my liking so it’s a good cover up! ;)

I wore thongs (or “flip flops” if you’re American haha) mainly because I don’t have any flats at the moment as my go-to ones are broken. I wasn’t fussed though because it’s just family and we were just spending the afternoon sitting outside.

I don’t usually wear too much make-up and I wasn’t going to go all-out today because it was just a casual BBQ but I did experiment with my make-up a little. I’m wearing Avon concealer, Avon Smooth Minerals foundation, a shimmery-ish eyeshadow from an old Avon palette, Rimmel London liquid eyeliner winged out a touch, Covergirl Lash Blast Volume mascara and Bloom Boost Juice lip balm in Berry Bang.

I know the wing is only small but I’m proud because this was my first time of using liquid eyeliner and attempting a wing. I’m actually surprised I could do it! I’ve been wanting to try for so long so I thought that going out today was a great opportunity. 

I also experimented with my hair by doing a Braided Headband. I watched this tutorial and thought it looked really cute. Obviously I’m not wearing it traditionally like a headband - y’know, pushing my hair back - but only because pulling my hair back emphasises how big my forehead is which I don’t enjoy haha.
